Strange partial audio drop-out when using the iPod interface

Hi

I'm experiencing a strange condition when using the iPod interface in my 2010 D4 HSE (Harman/Kardon Logic7). I use the Bovee 1000 device to allow bluetooth streaming which works well. The audio quality is excellent but after about 20 minutes of playback or so, the audio from the main door speakers fades out leaving only the tweeters working (ie you can still hear the audio but only from those speakers).

After a few minutes the main door speakers gently fade back in again and all is fine for a while. A short while later it happens again.

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be happening with this? The DAB radio works perfectly without any such dropouts. I can't imagine it's a problem with the bluetooth unit since it has no knowledge of the separate speaker channels and just supplies 2-channel audio to the head unit (and the audio itself never fully cuts out). I've checked for error codes with my IIDTool and there are none.

But stumped as to where to go next with diagnosis, so any help appreciated.

Cheers
Mark
