When I was on my mission to buy a stock D3 in less than a week at the beginning of June (succeeded admirably!) my first colour choice was BG. I was dismayed when the dealer told me that the colour was being withdrawn. He failed on the first choice but did get my second for me. With Buckingham blue you get two colours for the price of one, depending on the weather

What's amazing is that LR now have a new blue for the Freelander 2 that's even darker than Buckingham Blue:
Allegedly "Baltic Blue" is still blue, see Buckingham next to it:

This goes with the two blacks (Sumatra metallic and Narvik solid)

I came [this] close to ordering BG - but was swung to Silver by the contrast it provided against the black plastic details.
I dont regret not buying BG, but I am left wondering if.....
Hmmmm.
mmm amazing, me too ! Loved my mid grey Audi and wanted similar... Silver was the best to show all the detail, panel lines and surfacing... went for that instead. Only other colour I liked the look of (post purchase) was the Vienna Green (or whatever it was called last model year). Looked great with the dark grey / black plastics. Almost 'soft' military.
Maybe next time eh ?
