After years of owning 'boring' white cars (well suited to Queensland's tropical climate though) I decided on the Bonatti Grey because it really suited the car and the air con in the test drives convinced me it didn't have to be white or a light silver.
And with a bit of luck the usual scratches might not show too much! LeighW
The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

Just picked up my Metropolis in BG. Looks really nice. The only other options were black and silver and I couldn't be bothered with either. Previous D3 was Adriatic so fancied something completely different.
My dealer also told me that at a LR training day it was confirmed that the TDV8 will not make it to the D3; RR and RRS only....................so expect to see that in 6 months then!

Dear Gang,
I'm have a silver 2007 LR3 due to arrive in November. For some reason, I've done too much mental masturbation about the darn color - I'd prefer to have gotten an earthy green tone (as I've had on my past Rovers), but we don't have that here in the U.S. on the LR3 yet. After much discussion here in this forum, I decided to order the silver with ebony interior.
Today, I was driving by the LR dealership here in town and I stopped to admire their lot full of LR3s. I got to see a Zambezi and a Zermatt parked next to each other. Whereas I had previously thought the two colors to be different shades of silver (with the Zermatt being slightly darker), it now appears to me that the Zermatt has a hint of light blue incorporated in it and I'm not sure that I like it. Have any of you guys noticed the same?

I have a Zermatt D3 (LR3) and previously a Zambezi RRS. I wouldn't notice any difference. They both look the same - just bright silver. It would only be when the two are side by side you would see the difference - which is something I've never had the chance to see. Matt

Matt,
Do you feel that your Zermatt silver occassionally looks almost very light blue?
