Stolen spare - Disco4 MY12
Ok what parts do i need to fix ( spare wheel stolen and winch cable cut)
Obviously a new spare
What about the winch cable ?

Ps it must have happened when my wife was at a restaurant on wilmslow road (manchester) last week, as other than that the car has never been parked in public at night this year.
You may well find a suitable wheel & tyre for sale here - post a "Wanted Ad".
You will need a new winch & cable - available from LR dealers or by mail order.
NJSSAm I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

Ps, if you find a source for replacement wheel please let me know. Mine was stolen about 3 months ago. I will get a puncture soon I know it!

Ebay for replacements. It's where the scumbags flog them. It's called circular supply and demand.

interesting ...if you buy a spare when ordering your new disco you get it for about 235 quids..
the tyre alone is worth that
as ive said before,,a protector is about 81 quid delivered.
but an insurance claim
is about 700 quids
ie wheel and tyre.
cable or winch
excess etc
and the agro

Got my full size spare off eBay, did a deal with a forum member seller had 5, and we split the sale 4 & 1. Have not put it on yet though as saving for a RLD Protector, so still have the skinny tyre under the Disco for now.
There are quite a few on eBay at the moment, mostly in fours or fives, so may be an idea to get a group of forum members together and split the wheels out Iggy/Ieuan

Having lowered my spare last week to give it a quick clean and check the pressure it amazes me that they can be stolen so easily.
Mods will probably delete this but how on earth do you get to the cable to cut it? while I was rolling around the car i could barely see the cable never mind get at it enough to cut

Having just returned from a few lovely days in Windsor I spotted the spare was missing from my car at a services. I can vouch for the fact they can be stolen quite easily.
Just about to order a wheel protector.
Along with a new wheel and tyre and winch.
Just had a new tyre fitted on Friday in case we needed it on the drive.
off slightly.
Just spent an hour on the phone with Thames valley police as well.
Another hour wasted for nothing.
Should have listened to the advice and got a wheel protector before this happened.People tell me my car at 3L is not good for the environment but the other 6 engines I look after are 78L and nobody complains about them.
