Feel for the OP, really frustrating.

All the blame is with the scrote thieves. JLR could do more, as could we all, but it is the thieves who are at fault. I also agree we blame the police too easily. Realistically, what can they do? Set up roadblocks?

I bought two of these which are large enough and easy to use, and seem to block the signal.

Defender Signal Blocker - Mobile phone blocking signal jamming pouch with RPF for road safety and RFID blocking car fob protection. Grey. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071NFX24Q/ref...-AbESV45X2

And whilst I’m on it, buy a spare wheel protector (I have no affiliation with Ray). My neighbour just had his spare nicked from his D5, glad to see JLR have learned nothing on this one.

Sorry to hear about this.

What has been the insurers response thus far?

Did your car have an ignition barrel...or was it a totally keyless car.... I presume your plate is a cherished transfer...sorry for the confusion I originally presumed it was a genuine 54 plate as I hadn’t clocked it was a D4..

Having seen some of Panorama last night where they were nicked by cars off drives in moments, how far away from them the front door do the keys have to be to be safe? My son lives in a first floor flat and the entrance is locked would that be far enough? We don’t keep keys in the hallway and the room where they are doesn’t have windows to the front of the house, will it work through brick walls?

I put mine in a copper kettle. Can stand next to the car with kettle against the window or door handle and cannot open it.

If you have them in a Faraday cage / Bag should be fine at any distance.
