Sticky Steering wheel on a 4 yr 10 month old disco 3 |
|
Hi All,
Badly need your help.
i still have a problem with my sticky steering wheel and Parks of ayr. they say they will not replace my steering wheel because it is not covered by the dealers warranty. Could anyone provide me with some info of how you got a replacement. eg. was your disco with in the 3 year manufacturers warranty or over?
Sticky steering wheel is a major issue. fine in the morning when its cool but when it gets warm my hands turn black and sticky. Very disapointed at Parks making this difficult, especially when the salesman has seen the problem first hand. I am very unhappy. you think if you spend 20,000 + you wouldn't have a problem over a 160.00 steeringwheel.
cheers
David Many Thanks

I had mine replaced last month via LR extended warranty. My D3 was 4 years and 11 1/2 months old at the time and had only done 19800 miles. My dealer spoke to the warranty company and they sent an agent out to check that it was not a wear and tear issue first. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

HELP
My 5 year old car has a sticky steering wheel which is coming off on my hands. I don't have an extended warranty - far too expensive - and I wondered if anyone has received a response from Landrover as to why owners are having problems. When you spend £46k on a car you don't expect the steering wheel to need replacing when the car has only done 50k.
What is the best way to get this repaired? My dealer indicated it would cost over £200 to buy and fit a new one.
