Interesting. Mine also has a patch at the 2 o'clock position, but I just put that down to three years of wear and rubbing as I usually drive in typical taxi style driving when manouvering using palm of hand to spin the wheel, always in the same position.

My warranty is up soon. May be worth mentioning at the next service.

I'm on my third replacement steering wheel.
I don't think the covering is real leather & that's the problem.

LRCC agreed to fully meet the cost of my replacement, just been fitted, wheel still straight and the new wheel's leather is identical to our RRS, more matt than before and definitely dark grey rather than true black - result!
 Cheers

When I went to Monaco, I noticed a slight roughening of my wheel at the 12 O'Clock position. Wonder if it's anything to do with the thin air and sunshine on the high alpine passes.......

It's not worn through or anything like that, just the beginnings of a problem which will doubtless be manifest after the warranty expires in 6 months Rolling Eyes

standard leather is £77 that ebay company charge you a surcharge on your old wheel. they rebuild your old one and sell it on at nearly £300 a time profit
