Steering wheel badge removal
Hello folks,
Any quick tips on removing the steering wheel badge? The new one I have has a clip at each end but the old one is putting up a strong fight not to let go. Getting to the point of risking damage to the wheel and old badge, even with plastic trim tools. Does it need destroyed to get it off?

I’ve seen them taken off with self tapping screws. Highly dangerous and not something I’d do over an airbag.
IIRC they’re glued on so will be destroyed during removal.2010 D4 XS

Must admit I was really surprised how well it worked for the bonnet letters , just kept going back and forth like a sawing action and they came off very well
Plus made the bonnet smell very nice
Fingers crossed it works ok for u

Have you tried a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the glue? Std trick for getting most car badges off inside and outside.Cheers,

There’s no glue on it and dental floss won’t work, you’ll just end up cutting the floss on the metal edge.
It’s a pressed metal badge that has four arrow head tabs.
So you just need to be brutal with a flat blade screwdriver & plenty cloth protection around it.
But just make sure all electrics are off and car has gone to sleep before attempting....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Or remove the airbag from the steering wheel before starting... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
