Steering seems to be firm, possibly a bit too firm |
|
On a trip today, about 200 miles into the trip, notice the steering was noticeably tight, (wasnt when I set out and all fine until then) as if there was some resistance when you moved it left or right sligtly on the motorway.
Thought it was due to the trailer and renault espace on it, so came home, unhooked the trailer with the expectation that the normal feel/lightness when steering, would return.....sadly dissappointed
Turned the steering on full lock with the engine running and had a look behind to see if there were any obvious leaks, nop
Has a visual check under the bonnet, nothing there that I could notice, no pool of steering fluid now that the car been standing for 2 hours
The car just had a 15k service some 2 weeks ago (so I assume they've top up any steering fluid if ever needed), and less than a week ago, (less than 150 miles infact) had the nearside front bearing changed and everything seemed fine after that, oh yes and also had both front discs/pads done 3 weeks ago!
Any ideas would be great

Sooner rather than later eh
So where are you going to find one of them with similar miles to your D3. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
