steering column movement. |
|
I have some movement in my column (steering column that is ) I know that there is a TSB on this but my vin number is not in the range, now the local dealer has greased the stop ends (3 times) because that is what they say is the problem, they also say that there should be alittle movement in the steering column.
The movement occurs on turning from a junction from stand still, it feels like as the front of the car raises under acceleration there is movement, then going over speed bumps it can happen also.
So is this exceptable or should I be more forceful and ask to have the column changed.
What do you all think

I think there is a difference between feedback & movement, I dont know but I think there should be no real movement like you are describing. . I have had 3 D3's one had to go back for repair because of clunking steering. 2007 TDV6 HSE 'Silver Lady'. With 'free' privacy glass LOL.

Someone had a problem with cracked front bushes between chassis and body. Orange bush I seem to remember. The symptoms could be explained by this?
