Starting problems
This morning took about a 10 attempts before the engine turned over - symptoms similar to having a dead battery but everything lights up fine - ignition headlights etc, and without the 'clicking' you normally get from the starter motor relay - usually wait for the system checks to complete but it made no difference - happened a few times where it doesnt turn over first time normally starts on the 2nd attempt.2007 TDV6 XS Cairns Blue

Duff glow plugs or connection to them??? Just started my D3 in -3degC and the plug light stayed on for several seconds. Then started easily. Sounds like a trip to the stealer (USEKD).

that's odd as I experienced somthing a bit similar. Turned the key and after a bit turned it back to off as though the starter was running, the engine didn't start. Second time took a while and then started.
I was wondering if it was the recent cold weather but then realised it was at least as cold last year and I had no problems then.
What do you advise?Zambezi Silver SE / Ebony Leather

didnt find anything but 'resychnced' in their words the various systems - see if this works - bonnet sensor had become unclipped although it wasnt obvious when I had a look....
Also replaced the rear axle oil as a precaution due to a contaminated batch used at build time ( mid/late sept 2006) although said it looked alright. There is supposed to recall notice on this.2007 TDV6 XS Cairns Blue
