Mine gave up about 4 months ago. Dealer had it twice. After confirming a problem on the first visit they said they needed it for 2 days. On the second visit the tech didn't bother reading any of the history just polished the headlights and said it was fine. It wasn't. Eventually got an apology from the Service Manager who admitted they hadn't done anything apart from charge the battery. Even with a garage charged battery it didn't work for me.
About 2 weeks ago I had occasion to brake hard to a stop - that fixed it! Worked for a few days after that then gave up until I thumped the brakes again a few times. Given up again however.
I suspect there is an issue with it sensing the brakes are on. Can't really be bothered taking it back again though.

I'd be quite keen on removing the system so I could get a second battery in there. MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
