Start button swap - nice little upgrade!
Nice little upgrade after a tip on a Facebook forum. Didn’t want to throw money at JLR for a part that has not been improved. Someone said an evoque button worked so thought I’d give it a go. £20 on eBay later and I think it looks a lot better.
Had to shave off some unnecessary ridges from the new button with a Dremel but otherwise a good fit. Worked plug and play (no coding needed).

Nice little improvement.
Might give it a go, but what’s the process on removing/fitting....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Great stuff, just ordered one from eBay
Also ordered a little red outer ring and red button cover ….. was only £4.89
So will play around and see if one (or two) red bits enhances it, if not it’s only a fiver down the drain....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

You can do the steering adjuster as well. 👍You remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!

If that request was from me, then this is what I ordered.
The switch:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384394012675
It's a Chinese copy, however as it's only a switch it's bound to work.
Will keep the original in the vehicle though, just in case.
The red trim:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173982285809
Won't be using the two bits, will either be one or the other.
Or none if it looks/feels too tacky!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I don’t have a link, it was just a used part (the surround is built in)
