Spraying Front Grill!
hi all,
just looking to get some opinions or feed.. hope to send the disco to a bodyshop in next week or 2 to get some remedial works done, mainly where some scum have taken a screwdriver to the paint on my drivers door and where somebody else backed into the rear passenger door..
Question is, when getting this done, was going to change things around a bit on the grill, ie = spray the middle section of the grill (the one where the green LR Badge is), was considering spraying just that bit silver and keep the rest in java black as per original. anybody any photos where they have tinkered with similar before.
Have a look in my gallery - pics of a modified grill with all centre silver and surround in Buck Blue, you could poss take pic and apply photoshop to all centre except the middle one ?
LR do an Ally centre grille...I have one...take a look in my Gallery...cost about £80...got mine off fleabay for £50

Strange you should post this.
Over the last couple of days I've been considering spraying the centre section of the Grill on my Silver D3 with Satin Black.
I'm planning on mocking it up in Photoshop first so will post a pic when I'm done.

Looking good simoniz and K2Mut.. no disrespect to you K2 but that suits yours well cos you have the front apron kit and that, not so sure would look as nice on my standard front end.. looking at something along the line of simoniz possibly, minus the aerodynamic work to the grill..
might take photo and have a go at photoshop, although never used it before..
nasher if you photoshop your do post here.. be interested to see what looks like..

That's the only pic in Matts gallery.
But he sold it on to another forum member.
Cann't recall who, but someone will no doubt advise.

Ian.
I blatently nicked the Forum logo image to Photoshop - Sorry
I'm quite pleased with how it might look, but I think I'll look at it for a while and see how I feel in a couple of weeks.

Just to update this thread
had the disco @ the body shop this week getting few remedials done and getting the grill sprayed up like Matt TDV6 grille up above. was hoping to collect it this evening after work but will have to wait until tomorrow now which is annoying as cant wait to see it in the flesh.
Post pictures tomorrow if i can come in out of the yard from constantly looking at my new sprayed up grill and permagrin..

Pictures added!!
Well all,
Collected the Disco yesterday from Bodyshop. all the bramble rash and the few dings and knocks i had are all now a thing of the past and i am very pleased with how it turned out.
Also i got the central spar on the grill sprayed silver and must say i really like it so would be interested to get your feed back on what you think as i know Nasher and one or two more are loooking at doing something similar! a black LR logo might just finish it off nicely!! rained on the way home so ill take better pics when shes cleaned up properly!!
