Spotted in Miami a certain Java Black D3, Privacy Glass, Raised Air Intake, Chunky Rubber. D3 Sticker with Union Jack....
The one and only Sideview!
There's a funny story to share here, I've just got to think of the right way to word it first. Unless you want to explain Tami?
Really good to meet you Tami, That's one very shiny Java D3, looking great with it's additions. I've got the pic on my phone but didn't bring my adapter to get it on the laptop. Will post it up when I get back to the UK.
Funny quote of the meetup had to be (based on the discussion around the various forum stickers adorning the black beauty) "yeah I'm just a forum whore" to be taken in the above context guys, nothing else!
This lady has seriously got the off road bug which is fantastic. A lovely lady with a good sense of humour , it was a real pleasure to meet you.
Has anyone else travelled further for a D3 meet than UK to USA? Bodsys Brake Bible

Mmmmm, chunky rubber.......
Still can't make my mind up about a raised air intake as the amount of holes you have to drill in your car scare me!
Hey Bodsy, I got me a Mantec and Tasmods now I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Yes, it can be a worrying time. I know Sideview won't be removing her air intake due to an 'installation miscalculation'
It does look good & gives you greater confidence to go through the deep stuff without having to rely too much on getting a bow wave going.
Congrats ND, sorry I stole the others before I had my disco... Bodsys Brake Bible

Ha ha fantastic to meet you too Ian! I don't know how to word it either other than I looked like a crazy person LOL!
I'm glad you had a good time over here & that the weather was cooperative!
Yup NoDo$h I get lots of comments & looks on the air intake, even had one take pictures at Taco Bell - it's fun hehe...plus not having to worry through puddles of course. I do recommend having a professional bolt it on if you get one though I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

SV, D3 [sorry LR3] looks cool with air intake. 8)
It's next on my list.
are your wheels standard with that grippy rubber - appear to have more offset than standard - which is also 8) ? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

The air intake will look very cool with your customized A-bar which I want now (thanks a lot for adding to my ever-growing list ronp. Bodsy & I were talking about you err I mean it! ). No they're just standard LR wheels ( I think the low-end 18" alloys ) I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Yup, they look like they have more offset as the Nittos are way fatter than anything we can get in the UK I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

ronp -Ah you know, I'm a caring, sharing kinda guy.
DiscoDad - I Know! Been away a while & now I'm back (& the login works now), will get it sorted
NoDo$h - The tyres just set off the whole car. It looks stunning & I'm sure SideView won't mind if I confirm to the other members that face to face, you could use the same description of the driver! 8)
SV - Had a smooth flight back thanks, only managed a couple of hours sleep and then the three hour drive home was a bit of a challenge!
You're not crazy, but the Hotel did put security onto alert..... you could have been mistaken for a fan freak or stalker (I get those all the time....)
Pic still on the phone, technology not co-operating so will be put up later. Bodsys Brake Bible

Haven't forgotten, he's e-mailing on Monday when he can get to upload it. Knew he should have taken another, apparently it looks like you have a beer bottle growing out of your tooth
Was hoping to catch some last minute rays on Wednesday afternoon, but the cloud was coming over so I knew we'd be able to leave some good old British weather behind Bodsys Brake Bible
