Spotted in FNQ

Saw this BG TDV6 at Cooktown whilst visiting FNQ recently.

Spotted it, got the camera out, wife scowled (not supposed to lurk near schools esp with a long lens camera) snapped shot and departed before you could say "Hey, it is almost the same spec as mine and sold by the same dealer who happens to be some 2100 km away."

The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

Is it me, or do those wheels / tyres look totally wrong on that car?

Don't know if the tyres are the Pirellis or the Goodyears but it was about 80 metres away and shot with a 420mm lens. That could account for some compression of the shot and make the tyres and wheels appear narrower.

The wheels are the standard 17" same as on mine.

(Although off topic, I chatted to a V6 petrol D3 owner in a shopping centre carpark in Mareeba and his choice of suspension was the coils (due to distance from service centres). He knows of several others up that way as well that made the same choice.)
