thanks Jester
a quick look at that site throws up these which may be suitable but no mention of IP68 rating, more digging required but its a great starting point thank you
A trucker told me that with lights one gets what one pays for...
1967jester’s roof mounted beams look like searchlights when on that’s an insane amount of light
The centre ones (In original photo) are Triple R750e’s. Outer set are ST4e’s (spot/flood) have them switched separately to give me options. Rear work light is a Lazer Utility 45.
All 4
Rear
The road sign you see reflected is approx 60/70 yds back
Paul.

ive already swapped out the standard grill to a powerfuluk MY14 style, still got the orginal boxed up in the garage so once ive got all the pieces together im going to chop into the MY14 grill and wire them into main beam via a relay etc (or rather ask someone else to do it as I just don't have time )
I like the flush look of them cut into the grill, and im not after roof lighting as I have no requirement. I used to have roof spots on one of my old FL1 but found the reflection of the bonnet and screen didn't help that much.2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

I’ve a Lazer Linear Elite 18 on the roof and get no glare at all and the output is impressive to say the least.
This is just the roof Lazer. D4 MY15 SE TECH

Hiya
Daft question if I may please , how do u rate the full width lightbars , the ones that have the combined spot / flood combination plse
Saw a curved one on here that fitted in the front grill but alas can’t find it
Or is it always better to fit the smaller spot / flood lights over the longer lightbars
Many thks as always

The only thing I have with the one bar does all is if it breaks they all break. A combination of separate flood and spot units switched separately gives more options for the prevailing conditions in my opinion D4 MY15 SE TECH

Hi andy
Many thks and that’s a very good point , will have a further search ref different mounting options
Along with the option of smaller lights that maybe there might be a possibility of fitting them behind the front grill , as I’ve seen some narrow lights
