You can't directly interfere on another sponsors thread. You should know that.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Sorry DG I didn't realise I guess it's one rule for one and one for another so I will remember that.
Out of respect I posted up for everyone to see as the two members are on my doorstep and didn't want to go sneaking about Pming members behind sponsors backs that's not my style, I just assumed bodsy wouldn't want to travel all the way down to Devon or Bristol on another sponsors doorstep but if that's the case there's no point in me paying my sponsorship,I don't do a great deal as it is and my fees and equipment way out way the amount I do,but it supports the forum and helps the odd member down this way that is stuck for the odd update or repair.
But if this sort of thing is going to go on and continue to go on then I'm sorry I will have to seriously reconsider my sponsorship.

Woody please understand that it's not one rule for one or another ...I'm not lying in bed with any sponsor .... I had to act because that was Bodsy's thread offering his services and as you came in and offered contact then he requested your post be removed ...I and other mods have done this upon request for other sponsors many times in the past.
If the thread was from a general site user then it's up to you all to bat out who should get it....however this wasn't a thread from a general site user.
I don't want to throw a grenade here but IMO this situation of bickering in the background is only going to end up pear shaped if you don't sort out your "gentleman's agreement" and keep to the agreed areas.....if not and you guys can't get your houses in order then it will only eventually lead to more draconian site sponsor rules ...which I'm sure nobody wants 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Most sponsors would advise if there is another one a lot closer to the member wanting an update sorted surely -------------------------------------------------

Well that's up to the sponsors to agree upon Stew...and not site admin. In this instance a request was made to remove a post from a site sponsors services offer thread and that was complied with.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Sometimes it can be difficult finding your nearest sponsor. Would it not be possible to highlight sponsors on the members map?

Woody, I've pointed some of the recent people in your direction. I PM people and if they are too far away or somewhere where I'm not already going to be, then I'll direct them to others. That's always been the case and I'm sure is the same for others. Bodsys Brake Bible

Not a bad idea but not sure who would set the boundaries. As already alluded to there is already a great deal of cooperation between most of the sponsors and some can even be found working on the same vehicle at the same time.
I guess it all comes down to how willing people are to cooperate and no amount of rule-setting can force that.
Still, I like the idea of a map so members know who may be closest.

I would think showing on the map would be a very good think for all members, But a note for admin its up to the member who he gets work done by?

Why a note for admin ? ...we are not dictating any areas
