Split hose identification ?

Anyone help identify this hose? Discovered by accident when replacing a couple of bulbs and toppings up the anti freeze. Quick search online possibly intercooler hose? Don’t even know what that is. Need to order some bits from AF anyway.

Thanks

Thanks Mike. Forgive my ignorance but what is the problem now it’s split? I haven’t really noticed anything.

I watch my partner drive off in it plenty and haven’t noticed anything sorry. Would I notice a lak of power or excessive engine noise?

Not noticed any smoke but lack of power has been an issue for ages. I can’t get it down to you at the mo Mike, is it an easy diy job? Hose seems to be £30 odd.

Straight forward job. Undo the top jubilee clip, remove panel from front driver's side inner wheel arch and undo bottom jubilee clip. Pull out the split pipe, put the new one in, do up the 2 clips and put panel back. Watch out for the plastic clips that hold the inner wheel arch panel as they can get beaten up. Order some new ones in advance.

Easy enough. Half hour or so.

Replace with genuine or silicone

Arch clips are ANR2224

Brilliant Mike thanks. I assume it’s just a case of removing the old and replacing then, it’s just air in it is it? No fluid to drain or anything?

Yes its just an air tube.

Bound to be some oil that comes out though onto your drive, so be prepared for that.
