split dryer unit
has anybody seen this happen?suspension compressor dryer unit split and dropped all its desiccant.you can see a filter sticking out.can i simply install a new compressor or do i have another fault that caused this.i have no id tool

You can purchase reproduction drier units for the hitachi compressor on eBay as a complete unit, I ordered one to try as mine is due to be sorted, I’ve had a few of the compressor errors where it doesn’t vent the gallery, arrived in 2 days from China
Possibly someone has had the top off the drier in the past and not tightened correctlyMust stop buying shiny toys....

thanks for the reply.dryer split at bottom(looks like a welded seam)ive got a new dunlop compressor i want to put in but i dont want to blow it up!

You've probably got the filter all clogged up, which is one of the reasons that the box is available separately. Shouldn't be any problem to put in the new compressor - at least not from that part. The rest of the air suspension is a different matter - as I am now finding out myself IIDTool in Vienna, Austria - happy to share!

pulled old dryer apart and youre right filters blocked,pressure build up leading to split in dryer.put new compressor in .ALL GOOD.cheers
