| Where have the speakers gone? |

I was just thinking how brilliant the Meridian system is in my D4, when I noticed that there was no speakers in the rear pillars anymore.
I guess that only the extra cost, super duper version. has them now? 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE

There used to be a big speaker about 6in below the roof level on each rear pillar.
Was on my D3 HSE and I thought also on my MY10 D4 HSE (but I can't remember now  ) Both of those had the HK system though not the Meridian. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE

Yes they are in the rear pillars on 2010 HSE

think they are only in the top of range 825w system. XC90 T8 R Design Pro

They weren't in my 2010 HSE.
You only got them with the top of the range ICE system which must have been an option at the time Duncan

Mine is August 2010 HSE but I don't recall them being an option. The only extra on the Hifi front was the TV

So which of your 3 HSE's has sounded the best?
I have an 07 HSE with HK Logik 7 which I've always thought brilliant, but have wondered if the systems get progressively better over the years.
