[SOLD] Winter Wheels and Tyres

Hi All

I'm popping in from the RRS Forum as I have some wheels and winter tyres for sale which I understand will fit on the D3.

Those wheels look great. But are the tyres the wrong size and too low a load rating for a D3/D4?

Oh! Don't know. If so, I might consider splitting them and just selling the wheels. I could then keep the tyres, sort out some new wheels for my RRS and be back in business. So, if I said £300 for just the wheels, does that sound like a plan?

yep - tyres wrong size and load rating for D3/D4

Al Volvo XC90 B5 Plus Dark
Gone - MY18 D5 HSE - Corris on 22's with Black Pack
Now gone - MY16 D4 SE Tech, Loire Blue, Almond Leather, Privacy, plus some other goodies.
Old - MY12 D4 SDV6 XS Auto - Ipanema Sand with Almond Leather - Plus other niceties, and D4.com sticker
Older - D3 TDV6 XS Auto - Lugano Teal with Almond Leather, 20" Stormers, Shiny Tailpipes, DVD/TV - and obligatory D3 sticker
Ancient - D3 TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony, 20" Stormers, satnav & DVD

Revised Offer for Sale

OK folks, an update on these wheels. They are now for sale without the tyres. The kerb damaged one has been refurbished (fourth photo) and so I am now offering 4 wheels in excellent condition ready for tyres of your choice.

These are genuine Land Rover original 9Jx19 inch EH2+,15 spoke wheels (AH32-1007-AAW) IS53.

Just one of these is currently for sale on a well known auction site for £674.99 (silly price I know) and all I am asking is £300 for all 4!

markynicholls - thanks for your pm. I've tried to reply but maybe I haven't posted enough on this forum as I can't get it to send. So I'll try to answer your queries though this posting.

Just for clarity, please can any of the experts on here confirm that these wheels are suitable for the D3 load rating wise? I have added photos of the rear of a wheel so that the codes and markings are visible.

If anyone is thinking of collecting these to avoid courier costs, then I am near Uckfield in East Sussex and am happy to travel a reasonable distance if that would help

2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Cairns Blue

When I bought my D3 it had these wheels fitted.

I never had any problems with them but the load rating isn't high enough. The load rating for the D3 is 940kg.

I drove around on them for a few years but got nervous that an insurance company might just use it as an excuse not to pay out.

There are plenty of people that have used and do use Rangie rims on the forum. Never heard of any failures due to load rating not being sufficient. But agree insurance companies should be informed
