My father has decided to stop driving as he no longer trusts his eyesight or reaction time. A good decision I think as he is now 82 and has no real need to maintain a vehicle any more.
He has asked me to look after the sale for him so I'm going to give it a whirl here before advertising a bit further afield.
It is a black Defender 90 XS (3dr - 6 seats), manual on a 54 plate. It has done 66,432 miles and been looked after by JSF 4x4 for most of it's life in his hands (about 10 years I believe) until recently when he began taking it to the local village garage for oil and filters when he was only putting 3-4k miles on it annually.
It is in great order, has half leather, a/c, seat warmers, CD, some nice checker plate, alloys and 4 folding seats in the rear. Alarm, immobiliser, side runners, etc., - all standard XS fare I believe.
Not sure what MOT it has but it will have a years ticket on it before it changes hands.
After £16,500 please. Photos...
Some more 'revealing' pics. I'm not sure what to photograph so if there is a part/shot that would be more helpful then please let me know...
PM if interested please.
Cheers,
DarrenA shapely pair of legs is one thing but a nice bum is not to be sniffed at.

That's a very nice looking car. I trust you don't leave it there overnight.

That is a really nice example of a Defender 90, much too nice for me to spoil by off roading it. Can I offer a constructive suggestion that some chassis/bulkhead pictures would help sell it as structural condition on a 12/13 year old Defender is critical to its value. If you don't manage to sell it on here then try Defender2.net which I think is also one of Martin's forums, it really deserves to go to a genuine enthusiast.
Good luck with the sale and commiserations to your Dad in giving up such a gem
1997 Defender 90 for the kids and I to have a go at some competitive off road RTV and Tyro trials, daughter picked up her first trophy over the August Bank Holiday.

Not been without a Land Rover for over 40 years - I must need therapy!
Thanks for the feedback gents. I will get some additional pictures of the 'usual suspect' areas.A shapely pair of legs is one thing but a nice bum is not to be sniffed at.

Thanks for the tip. A lot more interest over there!

I’m not in a hurry so I’ll give a little longer on here before I advertise further afield. Be nice if it went to an enthusiast but haven’t had any real enthusiasm yet.
The good thing is... the longer it takes the more the value will increase!

Hi Darren
Really nice Defender, think you’ve got the pics spot on, needs to be viewed up close anyway, sorry to hear your dads having to give up his Land Rover,

Try the above forum up here, always somebody looking for a good Defender
Like the other posts please be really careful where you advertise, Defender theft is very high, less that 10 to 12 minutes to have it away, lock it up if you can.
Cheers

Genuinely surprised at no serious interest in this on here. Good feedback in the posts above so I’m sure the pricing is right - especially compared to others out there.
Any way, last bump and last few days then it’s off to the big bad world for sale.
It would have been nice to see it go to a good home so it was worth a try.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
