Software version on new D3

There seems to be some question as to whether new vehicles come from the factory with the latest software updates installed. Logic would suggest they would (especially in light of the recent service upgrade program), but with LR, anything's possible. Can anybody shed some light on this, as I need to know whether to harrass the dealer before I pick my new D3 in a couple of weeks.

United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

Si,
All vehicles should leave the factory with the latest software at time of build, due to extended delivery times to places such as US and Aus., there is a procedure in the PDI Manual which specifies that the supplying dealer should check all current service action bulletins, which will ensure latest software with the exception of 'on customer complaint only' issues - all of which will have been engineered out of latest build vehicles.
You should ask to see the PDI check sheet if not offered by the dealer as well

My HSE is well above the VIN ranged listed in "vehicle enhansement" thread http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4840 but persuaded my dealer to check software anyway. Car is improved like my wife's S (which was in the VIN range), better throttle response, taughter suspension & mpg is a little better. IMHO worth asking dealer to run the check anyway.
