I only use Bilt Hamber these days. It has the least impressive 'snow' appearance but puts its effect into removing the grime.

Do you think these chemicals actually improve dirt removal or just 'look nice' when you are washing your car ?
The stuff at the car wash just seems to foam everywhere but does little to remove dirt.

I agree that if you want a really good finish then you can't beat a bit of time and elbow grease....but as a quick remedy,I find it useful....it also takes more of the road dust and grit off than by pressure washer only...so for that alone it serves it purpose in helping look after the paintwork for me
These are the results from pressure washing off the snow foam alone

I have a carefully prepared 2 years worth of environmental protective layer on my D3 paintwork.
I think snow foam would risk losing it all.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

I only use the Snow Foam when the car is covered in dried on road grime and salt as it helps release the grime prior to using the good old wash mit !!!!!!!
The kids in the street think it looks funny when you use it though

This and this only...
Tried quite a few others, and granted, the BH stuff is more expensive, and you have to use a little bit more than usual, but it's the best one I've found.
