Anyone have any experience of fitting Safari snorkel and winch to a Landmark? I'm prepping my 2016 D4 Landmark for overloading and am a little overwhelmed by the lack of space under the bonnet. Any pics/advice very welcome1978 Series 3 88 Military Green (Gone)

Thanks Oxford Boy, I've seen that and it informs a lot, sadly I have more going on in my engine bay than they did!1978 Series 3 88 Military Green (Gone)

Not yet, but give me a few weeks. I've just had my D4 written off and it's being replaced with a Landmark. I'm going to transferring all the kit over. I've got the Mantec winch cradle on the D4 but will be going for the Devon 4x4 winch mount as it's much more substantial than the Britpart or Terrafirma ones.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Unless you're going to do some serious offroading, I'd keep it to using the standard bumper. Even through the High Atlas mountains and desert in Morocco we never had any issues. Also, it's a lot of extra weight to carry around on the front steering components and suspension.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Sorry to hear that your D4 has been written off, hope you are all ok. I have seen it a few times as I have passed through Long Stratton and it looked to be a well sorted example.Disco 4

Annoyed more than anything. I was in the car by myself on a Response Team call out and the car slid into a water filled ditch less than a mile from the house. As it's been flood damaged, it's a Cat B write off.
Still, I'm getting a 66 plate D4, so not all bad.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

What made you go for the D44 one rather than Prospeed just out of interest - I quite like the D44 one but I just don't like the idea of those recovery eyes through the bumper05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system
12 RRS SDV6 HSE (Hers) - Gone and replaced with an I Pace - I can tell you now EV is not the future yet
Metalian Camper trailer
They do one without the recovery eyes, it's £60 cheaper.
I don't like the idea they designed the mount for only one winch that has electric freespool. I would love to make the Talon air free spool but you can rotate the gearbox to allow access for the D44 one.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

How are you getting on with the Landmark TR? Have you managed to fit the snorkel yet? I'm keen to know how you get on with moving all the ABS stuff (I think that's what it is) out of the way so you can cut the hole in the inner wing1978 Series 3 88 Military Green (Gone)

I only picked it up on Saturday and opened the bonnet today for the first time.
As far as I’m aware the snorkel on mine follows the original path. It will fit into the original air box.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

I have the Safari snorkel which requires you to cut out the inner wing

However, my inner wing has loads of gubbins (I assume ABS & S/S) in the way which I'll have to move

Doesn’t the template picture show the modification/cut forward of the ABS box? (Just behind the drivers side head light)
