Snart key not found

Hi

This is an intermittent problem. The message pops up every now and then, and it makes no difference if the battery is new or ol. I get round it by locking the doors from the fob inside the car and then trying to start the engine - works without fail (so far....)

Am I perhaps trying to start the car too quickly after getting in?

What are you getting by way of diagnostics? I don't believe it's an issue caused by starting too quickly! yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Make sure you use a genuine battery.

It would seem that fakes from eBay cause issues.

Obviously ensure you have a good battery in the key, but here is a topic (link below) from someone who had a similar problem - peteyd. He updated with details of the fix on the 3rd page of this topic. New KVM, but there were some other issues also found. Hope it might be of help.
Do you have any diagnostic tools you can use to see if there are any errors?
