snapped rear a member bolt |
|
Was finally mouting the Prospeed diff guard on my 2012 D4. Everything was going too smooth until this happened; pulling 275 nm on the last bolt made it snap. Felt a bit silly pulling that much torque on these, but Prospeed mounting instructions specify this.
Anyone know the right torque and the part number? Also, this makes me a bit uncomfortable to be honest. I hope either the torque is too high or there was a manufacturing problem with the bolt. Preferable the former.
Thanks in advance for help.

In fact, the torque should be 275 nm. From this I conclude that the bolt was somehow weakened before tightening. All good now.
