Called in to Stafford Land Rover this morning to have a look at the D5 First impressions were good as it was Loire Blue with black pack. When I went to the front of the car I was amazed how chunky it looked and I love it. To me if it's a dark colour it then gets rid of that C pillar it sort of blends the side of a car. I could get used to the rear of the car. Inside it's just Wow amazing fell in love instantly the dash is brilliant. I thing the salesman did say was if you like the gliding comfy ride of the D4, the D5 ride is firmer. All in all I like it 17 Golf GT TDI Tornado Red

I think one main reason other than the interior for me was how aggressive looking it is from the front, did not expect that. But when I look at the same car in white of which there was one outside,it left me cold, how a colour can change my perspective of a car worried me a little.
I don't think I will be going over to the D5 as my money will be Velar bound,if it's better in the metal then the pictures then it will be the LR on my drive. 17 Golf GT TDI Tornado Red

Funny you should say that as the salesman said he has never known so much interest in a car yet to be seen in the metal. 17 Golf GT TDI Tornado Red

Now getting rid of the xxv would be blasphemy. I've got a customer with one and I love it ! I wish I could have one of those. Jarrod

I do like the Velar....
However adding a petrol lump ups the starting price to £73k.
Not sure I would pay that price for a car
