Interesting reading as I have problems with the smart key. It is so random when it works or not. Went through all the normal checks. Had it in the garage and no faults showed up. Replaced the module with a new one and it worked fine for 2 days. Yesterday the car would not lock keyless again although it unlocks every time keyless. Also everything works fine if i hold the smart key within about 12 inches of the car but put it in my pocket and it will not work (my mrs said i have deep pockets and short arms). Had the car 5 years and never had this problem before. I am wondering whether the main battery can contribute towards the problem I have
