Hi guys - i have my discos 4 for over 10 years and had the warning on the dash - 'smart key battery low' many times.
Each time i replace the battery in the flob and all is OK - but not now.
Despite several new batteries i still get the warning on the dash - is there a reset procedure like there is for the service reset? thanks in advance

just re-replaced mine after less than 2 months ... suspect, as it was the last one from a card of 10, it was past it's best before date.
got a new pack off Amazon and IIRC it has an 8 year life stamped on the pack. .

Most brands other than Duracell are a waste of time, I don’t know why when they are new and same voltage.
Most smoke alarms even have “use only Duracell batteries” stamped on them. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Good morning. That's right. A new Panasonic battery gave the problem with one remote and not with the other remote. Surprising!! I thought that the remote was broken, but reading on the forum, a DURACELL battery was recommended and indeed, BOTH REMOTES MANAGED TO ERASE THE WARNING. !!!!! IT IS SOLVED!!!!!!
Multimeter:
new PANASONIC battery: 3.03V
new DURACELL battery: 3.30V
that difference in voltage from Duracell made the warning disappear.
Thanks to this FORUM so full of information, where I have been able to solve the problem. I thank everyone for contributing their experience and wisdom to it, because it has gotten me out of some problem or vehicle repair more than once. I am very happy with this Forum!!!!! Thank you. Greetings to everyone!!!!
