Small gauge grey wire passenger footwell

As title really, can anyone help? I have no idea where it goes. Car is 2005 se tdv6.

It goes into the loom that goes across the footwell. Been like that since I had the car but I wanna connect it back if should be connected.

Having recently taken out the central junction box to change my sunroof drains, I too found this random connector. No idea what it’s for so I’m also curious to find out...

The little connector is for the passenger side footwell light, my problem is the grey wire with a bare end behind it.

So Pete k should this be mounted somewhere then? Not supposed to have a ring connector on the end for a bolt or something? Or to a pin in a connector block?

Regs,
Nick

No it isn't meant to be connected.

I would just put a bit of tape on the end of it and cable tie it to the loom

You can ignore that wire it's meant to be like that, check out this post where I was able to give a better explanation, http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic131361.html
