It was very much appreciated,
I however could not get near anything as you were all fussing around like a bunch of grannies trying to pay a high tea bill

Just to add to the trauma, went to put spare back on and the winch has packed up.It stops with about 4" to go
Tried unwinding and rewinding a number of times but no joy,so thought i would just remove it and put spare in the boot,no,that would be to easy,5 of the 6 nuts undone ok but the 6th which forms part of the u section broke the captive nut on the winch body so just started spinning, could not find my molegrips
Spent ages trying to get it undone using a number of tried and tested engineering tricks(bodges)but to no avail.
Eventually had a brainwave(which is not common for me)turn the wheel upside down
Doesn't look as tidy and you can see the spring and cable,it's like its shouting out to all the theiving Gypsy .steal me,steal me.but at least it is now fastened securely and i can get to work now.
But it was a good day out
