Slow start in warm weather |
|
Hi,
Probably this was discussed before, but I can't find it with the search.
So, the issue I am investigating is that my disco starts slow in the morning even the weather is warm. It takes about 3-4 seconds to fire. Once started, for the rest of the day it fires almost immediately.
But in the morning if I turn the key on, without cranking and wait for the fuel pump to do the job, do this 2 time x 30 seconds - the car fires immediately.
Glow plugs are fine, battery is new, alternator is charging as it should, I replace the fuel filter - same, no fault codes.
My assumption is that there is an air leak and the diesel goes back in the tank overnight. In the disco1 and defenders, similar issue is resolved by replacing a rubber valve in the fuel housing, which basically prevents the fuel to go back in the tank, so was wondering, if there is similar thing here? Or if someone faced this issue? Thanks,
Tiho
