Slow pick up

SWMBO D4 was in for hose replacement due to mice.

They gave her a brand new Freelander

Got D4 back middle of week and when I asked this morning if she was she pleased to get it back she said she was but not when pulling away at roundabouts. She now tells me the disco is very slow on pickup compared to the Freelander - after its been in the garage for a bleeding week

I know there have been lots of posts on this but is it fixable?

I don't get to drive it so not aware of slow take off

I had a Freelander as a courtesy car a while ago and, while I know that hire cars and courtesy cars are the fastest vehicles known to man (outside of a Merc Sprinter, obviously) it was bloody quick!

Perhaps it was because it is lighter, but I found it to be surprisingly nippy. Could it be that?

Yes, I dropped my car off for service a while ago, and my dad picked me up in his Freelander 2 (well, I drove). It was like the preverbial when setting off, but where the D4 will keep pulling at higher speed, the FL2 quickly ran out of steam. Of course they're a lot lighter and with 190bhp (ish) on tap, the FL2 is pretty nippy off the mark.
