The last couple of days bizarre things have been happening in the morning. Key into ignition, starts without any trouble. Into R the car just crawls ( less than 5mph ) even when accelerator floored. Into D again a crawl and then WHOOOSH. Not exactly 0-60 in 5secs but the acceleration is a bit unnerving. Seems to behave itself once engine is warm.
Other threads seem to suggest an EGR problem but comments also suggest that EGR faults only come into their own once engine is warm.
Does this seem familiar to you? Are there any quick fixes before I bother the dealer? All suggestions would be gratefully received.

EGR fault means exhaust is being returned to your engine to be burnt a second time. If your engine is warm this doesn't impact it as much but when the engine is cold your will have serious lack of power until about 2500 rpm. Your symptoms sound like egr to me, I had this problem myself a month ago. New egr valve and all is ok now.

Knackered batter in mine gave all sorts of weird and wonderful throttle issues - does sound like EGR, but have you been having any other weird issues. 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

About £130 each side plus fitting, but as you have a pre 2007 model you could just blank them Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME
FOXWELL N624 Elite
Hantek 1008c Oscilloscope

I got mine with replacement gaskets for a lot less from Nick, aka The Large One. Extremely helpful man, well worth talking to.

Hi Rhino,
It is better to edit your post than to quote it with minimal added details.

Depends how the EGR is stuck I guess. Mine is most exaggerated at cold - error I am getting is P045D.
