Has fitting the 55 profile in tyre caused a loss in acceleration and given any issues with auto gearbox or error codes at all? From my understanding its similar to changing a sprocket on a motorcycle and basically makes it harder to accelerate And puts more load on engine.

Difference is negligible and almost unmeasurable, I would choose 255-55 If I was choosing.
Simple and very accurate to check the speedo accuracy is on a motorway use the emergency telephones, they are exactly one mile apart, it takes one minute at 60mph to travel between them Thumbs Up

There can’t be much difference in it it’s only like buying some all terrains with 15 mm of tread on and then running it down to legal limit 1.6 mm.

ISTR on my old D3 there was a setting in the satnav to be made when new tyres had been fitted, this automatically adjusts the speedo to take into account the slight difference in rolling circumference as tyres wear.
My calculations mean you would be doing 52mph with a 50mph reading providing your speedo is accurate, but as most Speedo’s already read 5% fast you would be doing 54.5mph with a 50mph reading, enough to get a ticket Big Cry
