A whole lot of truckers do it most nights, not that different.
Pressing the lock button twice in quick succession should lock it but not arm the alarm.

Nice one thankyou.
Also handy for when I need to lock the dog in the car when popping into the shops.

He’s got a D3, one press, 2 for a D4 unless it’s been changed in the CCF with an Iid tool like mine: It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

For clarity, on a D3, 2 rapid depressions of the lock button locks the car, but does not deadlock it ( you can unlock from the inside) It also disables interior motion detectors.
On a 4, its the other way round, 1 depression locks it without deadlocks or interior protection, 2 depressions deadlocks and alarms fully.
It caught me out when I first got my D4. I always wonder how many D4 owners have never deadlocked or alarmed their car!

Yep sorry I’ve got it the wrong way round. It was changed because of a safety issue. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

On a D4 you can disable the interior alarm sensors via the Vehicle Setup menu/settings.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

When inside I always press the lock button on dash and go to sleep with no problems and alarms going off.

Slept in the D3 & D4s many times, makes a very nice small single bed with all my it to one side. Great for sleeping in end of nowhere places without the hassle of putting up a tent.
