Sleeping in the back of the D3

After reading all of the threads on here regarding the subject matter I have purchased and test installed the Coleman air bed. This is for my daughter and I to go for her first ever overnight wild camping trip. We are lucky that in France there are plenty of places that one can go and not see anybody else for days.

It is nice to see her super excited about a trip.

Looks very comfy ! Many times I've used the mattress from my caravan in the back of mine (fits perfectly) and got a good nights sleep ... enjoy the outdoors 8)
I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

It’s awesome taking your nipper for their first camping trip, taking mine for his first next weekend (he’s 4) and he’s mega exited.

Me and my lad did a road trip last October to Dorset from Cheshire

We ended up near Bovington it was class, we lived out the D3 for three days on a campsite. Only us daft enough to be there

Quality experience listening to the tanks on the range late at night

Not sure how to put pics on here but we had a double air bed in the back no probs then two sleeping bags, proper warm and comfy

Want to get back out there asap and do it again

Wouldn't suit DSL ... he'd get too hungry whilst out for the day

I prefer the fridge, and food therein, next to the bed. Thumbs Up

And then pop into the local supermarket for a light breakfast. Whistle

Was looking at the interior of the D4 with this in mind yesterday. The middle row seats are higher when folded, than the 3rd row.

Has anyone built a small platform for the cargo area to bring the level up?

They drop down to completely flat, just need pushed down with the pull chord thingie pulled at the same time. No engineering solution needed. Thumbs Up
