Had an Audi like this at work yesterday, was exactly the same issue! Drove me and my boss mad! It turned out that it was a small clip on the cover that was broken which meant it was not being held in place and with the engine running and the normal vibration/movement that the engine had, it moved around a little and was hitting the pipe work etc underwear it!

Phoned the dealer this morning to rebook the car in for vibration, I told them that the LP fuel test valve and its associate pipe work was vibrating against the engine cover and probably other things 8) . The receptionist seemed quite indignant and asked how I had come to that conclusion. Anyway they can't look at it till 16th October, nearly 2 weeks, I can get a doctors appointment quicker than that

Well been into Marshall at Bedford this morning, the technician came out with me to my car and we went through checking the fuel test valve and pipes and he thought it was vibrating more than it should be. He went and got another MY2012 Discovery parked it next to mine and we compared the two, mine vibrates or resonates as the technician calls it more than their vehicle. Technician thinks it has a pulsing feel to it and could be associated to the fuel pump. Anyway they are going to have it in for a fortnight while I am away on holiday. He says it is going to be one of those jobs that is trial and error, elimination etc, before they go for the fuel pump, because that is not an easy job. I hope this will all be covered under warranty.

Well got back from holiday, car returned today. Dealer tells me they have been talking to Landrover tech about the vibration, they changed the driver side engine mount. Vibration just the same. It seems to me that they have had my car for 2 weeks but only looked at it in the last couple of days and are suggesting I book it back in again for them to have a look at it. WTF just how long do they need a car to fix a problem? It seems if they don't have a fault code that says do or change this, they just scratch their heads.

Well had to phone the dealer this morning, as their promised return call never happened, agreeded for them to pick the car up this coming Friday to have another go at sorting this vibration. I still cannot get my head around how they can send the car back with the same fault as it went in for . ok if they can't fix it, just say so, I can try somewhere else.

Oh dear. I was still hoping to get mine looked at for excessive vibration at tick over if I ever get a chance, Bedford have been ok in the past, bit worrying. I'll let you know how I get on.Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

Robes, see if it's the same as mine: lift the cover off the top of the engine, look for the fuel pressure test valve, it looks like a tyre valve, touch it and see if it is vibrating. Whatever is making this valve and fuel line vibrate is what they need to find.

I've been doing a little more investigating into my vibration, before it goes back to the dealers this Friday.
The vibration intensifies when on the move between 0-10 mph, either slowing down or speeding up. Do you think this could be gearbox related?
