Which dealership are you using? Is it the one in Newport Pagnell?

No, although Stratstone at Newport Pagnel are my nearest dealership, I have been recommended to use Marshall at Bedford. I phoned them this morning and they are going to book my car in again on Monday to have a second look for me, at least the reduced performance warning should not distract from the engine vibration that is bothering me.

I've found out what is vibrating at last, when you take the plastic cover off the top of the engine, there is a valve that looks like a tyre valve, this and the pipe work it is connected too vibrate like mad. It must be touching somthing connected to the bulk head or steering. Does anyone no what this valve is and should it vibrate like that?

A picture would confirm it but you appear to be describing the LP fuel line test valve.

Thanks for that Robbie, I've put a picture up but it's not very clear. If it is the fuel line valve, should it be vibrating so much you feel it through the steering?
It is a brass valve like a bike tyre, it looks like it should have a dust cover on it but it doesn't .

Does it look like the above, if so it should have a cap as shown.
The line should not be vibrating so hard that it is impacting against the cover. It is an unlikely source of vibration if it is in a normal condition, so perhaps it is reacting to something else. To be sure, secure and pad it and see if anything changes.

Is the vibration you're talking about just when it's ticking over ? Mine seems a bit rough at idle but fine when driving. I was thinking of taking it back to the dealer for a look.

Yes that looks like it, I am taking it back to the dealers next week, at least now I can point them in the right direction. If I could get rid of this vibration I would be really happy with the car

I should add that the picture above is from one of the many pre-production D4s, but you get the idea.

The vibration is noticeable more at tick over, when you stop at junctions etc. you feel it coming through the steering wheel

Still, worth restraining ahead of the garage visit to see if preventing it rattling against the engine cover makes any difference.

I've used Marshalls and Stratstones in the past when buying and servicing vehicles.
If you get messed around by Marshalls ( as I did in the past....) take it down to Guy Salmon Land Rover in Northampton. Great service every visit

Bin out and cable tied the valve a associated pipes and cables down a bit lower under the engine cover, this has stop the engine cover vibrating and generally I think it does does not vibrate anything like it did. The valve and pipes are still vibrating. I will let the dealer tell me if this is ok or not.
Thanks for all your help.
