Maybe they can actually make the ad blue engines slightly more dirty to get more power safe in the knowledge that the aftertreatment system will clean it up nicely!

My 2012my 8 speed doesn't seem as quick as my 2010 6 speed but i have put it down to the gearbox. The 6 speed seemed a lot quicker off the mark despite being 10bhp down Rolling Eyes

Interesting. Most that have driven the final adblue equipped models say they feel quicker and smoother than the earlier 255bhp non adblue models. So something doesn't sound right there.

I've owned two "Adblue" Landmarks, both notable faster than my previous D4's. No explanation as to why, but I'm guessing it's down to "mapping". Thumbs Up

Possibly more than just tinkering with the mapping. I think it may be more to do with the fact that the complete engine ECU (PCM) is actually different on the 2016 models.

I didn’t know that. Thumbs Up

Your old car might have been tuned before you got it,if you need a bit more from thr new one get it tuned you can do it through the obd port on that year no need to take out ecu.
