Sill Plates - Tasmod or cheaper ebay option ??

Hi

Just about to buy some Sill Plates - have looked at relevant threads and Tasmod's keep coming up - has anybody got any pictures, and advice on whether it's worth the extra money (although I don't know how much they are, as I haven't called him yet) or would the ones on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0219879688 or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0229716938 do the job just as well !!

Thanks in advance
Tracey

I fitted the ones in your 1st link, and they look good. A vast improvement over the scratched sills, all for about 25 quid delivered.

Hi Tracey, I've got the 'cheaper' ones through a group buy on this site organised by Discowex via Ebay.

The engraving is quite shallow and doesn't stand out in the photos, but they do the job just fine....

Hi Tracey

I have a set of 'Tasmods'. They're not cheap (about £86 including postage) but they are top quality and contoured to fit the sill.

Like everything, you get what you pay for! Thumbs Up

Hi
I went for Tasmods - excellent covers and better than OEM ones.
Ordered one day - delivered the next.
Didnt even consider the cheaper ebay ones.

Hi, simple question for a simple chap.

What the **** are Tasmods?! I keep seeing that term across the site. Is it a manufacturer or an acronym? Is it just sill plates?

Correct Thumbs Up No I won't.

The cheaper sill cover does the practical job of covering the sills .....but the Tasmod sill covers are by far the better quality. I have never suggested otherwise. My legitimate gripe with Tasmod's selling methods on the site was that the site never benefited from those sales.

We should ALL encourage site donations from any site sale Thumbs Up

I agree with Dick above on ths.The cheaper sills do the job nicely. They are not as well enhraved as Tasmods , but are more a " stamp" rather than an engraving.I organised the group buy for the cheaper version as I'm a hound fora bargain with the bonus that the site gained a few quid into the deal.I also encouraged the sill manafacturer to contact Martin witha view to advertising on the site or at least providing a small kickback on each further sale attained through the site.Whether anything came of this I don't know.Either way I'm happy with what I paid for and haven't heard anything to the contrary from those that participated in the Group Buy either.

it's a free world , if you can afford either version then go for it , both versions will do exactly as they say which is protect your sill paintwork.Enjoy Thumbs Up
