Side Vent spray paint in Chrom look

I ordered a black side vent. But now I don't like the look on the car. Can I spraypaint this in chrom look:
Is there such color? Does that look the same as real chrome? Can I spray just over it? And finaly: How do I get this out without breaking the clips again Whistle

Thin bit of plastic will get it out...search the forum

if you need an original colour vent I have a spare and could swap

(I bought a 'reflections' one on ebay for about £9...cheaper than paint! Very Happy )

Hey Daniel, what's going on here!!!
I generously sent you my original side vent at no cost whatsoever to yourself.
I even paid the postage!!
And you say you ordered a black one!!
Unless explanations are forthcoming, I hope it bursts on you!!

Daniel, if you don't want it, I'd be happy to receive it as I'm looking for either a spare to re-spray black, or if your's is already Black, then that would be just spot on.

My thanks of course would also extend to ronp...... Embarassed

ronp hold your horses: When I swap cars I need an original one that is not damaged. So I'm not reselling one nor do I need another one. Broke off my original one to swap with the black one. If you now still angry with me I send it back to you and reimburse postage to you. No problem. I'm not in the business to make forummembers angry.

I have tryed them all Sad

First got a spare off ebay and sprayed it Chrome ( yes you can get a spray ) but it never "took " to the plastic very well ..even with a plastic undercoat.

Secondly i got one of the "bright pack " ones ...a little better but still not what i was looking for Sad

So Lastly i ended up with a "proper chrome" one from ebay ..

Now im happy Very Happy

Not that spooky really. Was watching it for the last couple of days, saw this post, thought I ought to get around to bidding on the blooming thing. Thumbs Up
