| Side step removal - not the standard Q |
|
Having posted before asking for recommendations for replacement side steps (because mine are rotten), I am now pondering removing and not replacing them.
I think I will need some new trim though, is that correct? Assume easy to source new or maybe 2nd hand, but is it straightforward to fit it, once steps removed? MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Funnily enough I'm in the process of doing the same thing.
I have removed the side-steps and they reveal the 3 cut-outs that needed to be made in the plastic sill covers to fit them in the first place.

Just the long section needed I assume and not the end pieces as assume they are not cut for the side steps? I'm not with my car, so can't check right now, MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

On from this chat my sills might be going up to LaserTam  ...
I'm hoping to send him up any clips I may have to hold them in place.
If anyone has got any pics of the clips i'll have a look so see if I have any in the parts drawer
