Side Step bolts

I have just removed my steps. Some of the bolts attaching the brackets for the steps are hidden by the sill and some bolt through the sills into chassis.

Now I have removed them - should all these bolts still be on my D3 or should I have removed them to go with the steps.

I think you know what Im getting at - if you buy new steps do the bolts come with it - or do they rely on bolts that are already there.

Need to know as I either need to put them back or not Very Happy

Cheers

The bolts come with the steps - but the original holes had waterproof 'stickers' over them to keep out water/mud when wading

Steps come with the bolts. Also come with six random washers which is a bit disconcerting when you fit them and then stare blankly at the instructions wondering where you should have put them.

Although in principal I agree with you, in practice when I peeled off my labels each captive nut was filled with a perfect plug of dry mud Laughing
