got a set of these cheaply, just wondering how much protection they afford....(prior to fitting them!)
I want something to stop carpark dings, anyone got them and can comment??
if they are purely bling...may resell them!

I don't think that the tubes on their own offer much protection, but with the side protection strips and the lower door trim it's just about covered. I normally let the Mrs out on access mode and then pump it up to off road mode. Partly to show off and partly to stop the door dings. I also park on the far side of the car park.

aaaahh the far side (sigh) it's a place where people care more for their cars than their convenience. A place full of people who don't care that they have to walk a few yards further than everyone else. I have watched people from the front of Tescos when I used to smoke, fighting for spaces and even waiting for spaces to become available when the car park is not a third full just so they don't have to walk too far. We're talking 30-40 mtrs!
Come and join me on the far side guys, it's calmer and stress free. And watch the others making an easy life hard. FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!

They protects your precious from marauding repssss in Toyota Avensisisisisis, so they does. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

These dings not made by repmobiles! Just good old fashioned rocks!
Despite their shortcomings (not cantilivered), the tubes took the brunt of damage that would otherwise have been passed on to the sills, so not bad!
If mine get further knocks I may talk to a mate (welder and general metal wizard) re. fabricating a more substantial and cantilevered sidebar using the LR ones as a reference for styling.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
