Side protecion tubes
My new car should finally arrive by the end of next week (finger crossed...)
I'm thinking to have the stainless steel side protection tubes fitted on it, mainly to protect the doors against car park "aggression".
Does one of you guys had it fitted and could provide a picture of it to see how it looks? Beside will it serve the expected protection?
I don't have the side protection tubes, but the steps instead. If it's a similar projection, you'll still need to raise the car to off-road height when parking, so as to increase the chances that a door opening on a neighbouring car will catch the tube/step first.
Even so, 4x4s or sharply angled rear doors might still impact. Perhaps some rubbing strips too?Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Got the black tubes fitted to mine, very good at protecting from offroad 'dings' but the steps would be better at protecting from carpark wounds

Thanks a lot for the feedback. 10forcash I think I will go for the same setup as yours, namely side tubes + body side mouldings.
Cheers

Stupid question
Can the side tubes be used as steps? much prefer the look of the tubes vs. the convenetional side steps

My 8 year old manages (most of the time) to use them as steps but as Chex pointed out, theyre a bit slippery and usually result in bruised knees... besides, kids are more easily impresses with suspension being lowered to access height
