Side Mouldings with Bright inserts - good idea - easy to fit
Hi Folks,
Disco 4 just landed thanks to help from this site sourcing a good deal.
I wish to preserve my door panels from damage in car parks etc. and need to know if on the mouldings that have bright inserts whether the inserts stand proud (i.e. they too would get damaged when a car doors hits) or in fact they are in-set.
Basically wonderring if bright inserts on the mouldings defeat the purpose as they too could get damaged.
Also are these easy enought to fit yourselves?
Thanks in advance, J

2 options.
1. park at the quiet end of the carpark.
2. make sure d4 is caked in mud when you go to supermarket, you'll have space both sides when you come out..
Why not do what I do,either park over two ajoining spaces or get a set of side steps and park with the suspension set at its highest setting, whereby anyone opening their door into your car gets a nice ding courtesy of the side step 2007 TDV6 XS Auto.

Bright insert are set below the surface.

Alas, this does not work when adjacent muppet opens his (or her) rear door onto yours.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Needs very careful measurement, and a very warm day - unless you don't mind them peeling off again.
They only offer a limited amount of protection, as the mid height of the door remains vulnerable.Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
