Shukers - Shrewsbury
Went to this dealership on Friday, hoping to pick a thermostat only to be told the parts department was closed for stocktaking. Gave the girls on the desk the old sob story travelled a long way and really needed the part and one of them said I'll ask but was told no parts sales this afternoon. Suited and booted chap came out presumable the parts manager and I was expecting the worse, but he was all smiles and asked what I wanted and what the reg was, went and had a look, while he was gone one of the ladies got the wife and I tea and coffee. Unfortunately he came back with bad news not got one, but cant fault the effort.

Probably stocktaking as Shukers has been sold I believe. I heard a rumour that Hatfields had bought them.
Christ I hope that doesn't mean things are going to change - had nothing but exemplary service from Shukers in Ludlow LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Yes - LR asked them to rebid for the franchise, Shukers were lower than Hatfields so changed last week. Future plans include larger showroom and Jaguar sales there too. Front staff staying, management and mechanics moving on, I was told - I guess either redundant or to Shukers other sites.
So it will be all change there. Interesting, as I found Shukers excellent - helpful, friendly, and reasonably knowledgeable....
